Yevette D. Cole was born on February 14, 1970, and passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 56.

She had a strong faith and loved talking about Jesus and reading the Bible. She also enjoyed fishing, painting, and eating Chinese food, which was her favorite Yevette was an avid writer. One of her poems was published in the Library of Congress. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandbabies. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Cole (Tamra), Chris Babcock, Brent Conway (Michael), Brandon Babcock, and Mark Babcock (Taylor); grandchildren, Arabella Cole, Addison Cole, and Zander Babcock; sister, Mary Short.

She is preceded in passing by her mother, Gloria Kibodeaux Daigle; fiance, Robbie Thibodeaux; brother, Alton Kibodeaux, Jr.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 12, 2026 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Riley Smith & Sons, 1810 W 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Visitation will resume Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating. Interment will follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
