William Bert
Tramel
Nov 12, 1959 — Sep 2, 2026
Kinder, Louisiana
He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met, and the friendships he made throughout his life were treasured deeply.
William Bert "Dubby" Tramel, 66, of Kinder, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on November 12, 1959, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Ernest "Billy" and Betty Hall Tramel.
Dubby was a loving husband, father, Pawpaw, uncle, godfather, brother-in-law, and friend. To those who knew and loved him, he was so much more than words could ever describe. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met, and the friendships he made throughout his life were treasured deeply.
Dubby attended Hathaway High School before moving with his family to Kinder in 1975. He graduated from Kinder High School with the Class of 1977.
Dubby was a true master of his craft. He built a remarkable career as a paintless dent repair specialist, traveling across the country and around the world "popping dents." He took tremendous pride in his work and was known for his perfection, skill, and attention to detail. He genuinely enjoyed what he did, and along the way, he met countless people and formed many lifelong friendships.
Outside of work, Dubby found his greatest joy in the simple things in life. He loved to fish, hunt, garden, and, perhaps most of all, spend time soaking in the river. Those who knew him will remember the happiness he found outdoors, the stories he shared, and the memories made with the people he loved.
Dubby was married to his loving wife, Camille Doumite Tramel, for 24 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless memories. He was a devoted father to their son, Mason Hall Tramel, and a loving stepfather to Allysa Doumite and Abigail Fontenot. His grandchildren, Ayden, Drake, and Rhett Fontenot, held a very special place in his heart, and being their Pawpaw was one of the greatest joys of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Camille; his son, Mason Hall Tramel; stepchildren, Allysa Doumite and Abigail Fontenot; grandchildren, Ayden Fontenot, Drake Fontenot, and Rhett Fontenot; his brother, Deacon Mike Tramel and wife Alice; his sister, Bertha Savant and husband Jerry; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Dubby was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest "Billy" and Betty Hall Tramel; and his beloved niece, Emily Tramel.
Though his time on earth has come to an end, the love Dubby gave, the friendships he formed, the work he took such pride in, and the memories he created with his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by his family and friends.
The family sends a special thank you to Juanita, his caregiver with the gift, Ali and Kim with Brighton Bridge Hospice for their love and compassion they showed our loved one.
