William Keith Fontenot, born December 13th, 2005, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2026, in Kinder, Louisiana, at the age of 20.
William was a believer in Christ and a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He deeply loved his family, was a wonderful big brother, and especially enjoyed aggravating his three younger sisters.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing trips with his dad, and hunting in his backyard.
William played baseball and football as a Yellow Jacket at Kinder High School, where he was well loved by his teammates. He also kept a close eye on his sisters' softball skills. William was a very hard worker at South Side Machine Works and a volunteer firefighter with Allen Parish District 4 Fire Department, where he was cherished by his work family.
William was strong no matter what he faced, and he could always be seen with a smile. He was truly a buddy and friend to all, and he will be missed by so many.
William is survived by his parents, Brandon and Shanna Fontenot; his sisters, Brianna, Anna Camille, and Kennedi Fontenot; his grandparents, Donald and Montez Fontenot, and Joe and Enola LaFargue; his great-grandparents, Carole Fontenot, and William and Barbara Hargrave; his uncles and aunts Darren and Reney Fontenot, Luke and Sarah LaFargue, and Malori and Ryan Holford; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in passing by his brother, Griffin Fontenot; and his great-grandparents, Marvin and Shirley Bebee, Paul Fontenot, and Louis and LouAnna LaFargue.
Family will receive friends Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. visitation will continue Friday, July 3rd, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Reed Chapel Riley Smith and Sons 315 N 14th St Kinder, Louisiana. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, July 3rd, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St Phillip Neri Catholic Church. Father Alan Trouille will be officiating. Interment to follow at Hebert Cemetery. A reception will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Smith Hall 315 N 14th St Kinder, Louisiana.
