Wayne Gurtwood Stains was born July 23, 1991, and passed away March 17, 2025, at the age of 33.

Wayne had a big heart. He loved everyone that he met. He enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Lela Stains; father, Ernest Stains Sr.; siblings, Lewis Stains, Ernest "Doh Doh" Stains, LeeAnna Stains (Jeremy), Mike Burge (Serena), Lisa Burge (Loy); along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth "Liz" Moody Burge; stepfather, James Burge; maternal grandparents, Orvel Lee Moody, Anna Lee Beckworth Stains, and Willie Stains; paternal grandparents, Edgar Stains, Laverne Alston, and Linny Alston; and great grandparents, Barney and Lizzie Beckworth.

Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Westgate Church, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Charles Braneff Jr will be officiating.
