Trent Adrian Schmidt was born April 27, 1990, and passed away April 26, 2026, at the age of 35.

Trent had a heart of gold and a spirit that touched everyone he met. He was deeply family-oriented, always putting his loved ones first and cherishing every moment spent together. Known for his caring and loving nature, Trent brought comfort and warmth to those around him. His sense of humor could light up any room, and his strength carried him through life's challenges. A very open and straightforward person, Trent spoke honestly and lived with sincerity, earning the trust and respect of those around him. Trent will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the unwavering love he shared so freely.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Chapman; son, Cayden Schmidt; stepdaughters, Victoria Lewis, Bailey Chapman, and Madison Chapman; mother, Deana Haynes; siblings, Michael Dyson, Layton Haynes, Shannon Haynes and wife Lexi, and Kaitlyn Schmidt; family friend, Rhonda Main; along with numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Schmidt; and grandparents, Della Stuckey, James Stuckey; Bill Haynes, and Carolyn Haynes.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, at continuing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Alvin Dale Smith will be officiating. Interment to follow at Rigmaiden Cemetery, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
