Thomas A. Long was born June 6, 1952, and passed away July 24, 2026, at the age of 74.

Thomas will be remembered for his kind heart, friendly smile, and outgoing personality. He owned a salon for many years, where he built lasting relationships with clients and employees alike. Thomas had a natural gift for making people feel welcome and comfortable, and his warmth touched everyone he met.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on in the many lives he brightened through his kindness and genuine spirit.

He is survived by his spouse, Charles Brown; nieces, Rebecca Long (Aleks Mayorge) and Christy Lugo (Joey); nephews, Andy Long and Randy Ward; cousins, John and Monya Gott, Mike and Michelle Chapman, Greg and Melissa Thibodeaux, Brad and Ronette Levine, and Penny Schales Litton; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Long and Helen Christine Schales; siblings, Mary Long Scott, James Long, and Jeffrey Long; and niece, Susan Ward.

Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
