Oakdale - Sybil Gay Fontenot, born September 12, 1948, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Oakdale, Louisiana, at the age of 77.

Sybil worked as a beautician and was known for the care and kindness she shared with others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, relaxing with a beer, and making cherished memories at Whiskey Chitto Creek.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Thesha Paul and Craig Paul; her grandchildren, Tanner Paul, Tucker Richard, and Marissa Richard; and her brother, Wayne Fontenot and his wife, Debbie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshal and Emma Fontenot; and her siblings, Burnel Fontenot and Nell Bang.
