Sherman "John" Ortego Jr. was born March 24, 1963, and passed away October 16, 2026, at the age of 63.

John was a loving family man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved to draw, paint, and decorate, sharing his creativity and talent with those around him.

Above all, John loved his family, who meant the world to him. He will be remembered for his creative spirit, his love for those closest to him, and the special memories he leaves behind.

He is survived by his son, Grant Ortego and wife Blaire; grandchildren, Eden Ortego, Ember Ortego, and Isaiah Ortego; siblings, Leila Bazinet and husband Michael, Connie Miller and husband Phillip, and Michael Ortego.

He is preceded by his father, Sherman John Ortego Sr.; mother, Alice Ortego.
