Shelia Marie LeDay was born on December 31, 1964 to her loving parents Clarence LeDay and Mallina Goodman LeDay. She departed this life on June 25, 2026 in Jennings, LA peacefully surrounded by her family at age 61.
She attended Kinder Elementary and Kinder High School, where she graduated in 1984. She was a lifetime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA. Shelia was a loyal and trusted friend whose love left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, watching wrestling, watching music videos, and spending time with her godson and family. She was a humble person with a kind heart and gentle spirit who loved her family. She will be remembered as a devoted sister, godmother, aunt, great-aunt, niece, and cousin.
She leaves to cherish her memories siblings Clifford (Marcellia) LeDay of Kinder, LA, Clarence "Chuck" (Iris) LeDay II of Basile, LA, Eddie (Veronica) LeDay of Soileau, LA, Eva Bushnell of Beaumont, TX, Evelina LeDay of Kinder, LA, and Barbara LeDay-Griffin of Lake Charles, LA. Also those left to cherish her memories are godson Lelund LeDay of Jennings, LA, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Clarence LeDay, mother Mallina Goodman LeDay, sister Baby LeDay, nephew Joshua Eddie LeDay, and godparents Willis and Velma Bushnell.

Family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., with the rosary being held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons - Kinder, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Kinder, Louisiana. Interment to follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Kinder, Louisiana. Repast to be held at Smith Hall at Riley Smith & Sons - Kinder.
