Shari DeRamus was born April 18, 1962, and passed away July 25, 2026, at the age of 64.

Shari will be remembered for her generous heart, creative spirit, and thoughtful, caring nature. She brought warmth and kindness to everyone who knew her, and her beautiful smile reflected the love she shared so freely.

Shari devoted herself to her family and found joy in caring for those she loved. Her love for others creativity helped build her creative roots. She believed all people should have a place where they belong.

She found great joy in sewing and reading, but nothing brought her more happiness than the time she spent with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.

She leaves behind her children, Sara Benoit and husband Dillon, and Emily Parker; grandchildren, Zoey Parker, Sawyer Benoit, and Delia Benoit; sister, Donna Hines and husband Richard; brother, Dwight DeRamus Jr. and wife Tammy; her beloved fur baby, Lola; along with all of the friends she made along the way.

She is preceded in death by her son, Adam Dearmon; father, Dwight DeRamus; and mother, Margaret DeRamus.

Family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Bro. Mike Streams and Rev. Dwayne Hyatt will be officiating.
