Scharlene W. Rodrick was born February 5, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away October 12, 2025, at the age of 77

In the last four years, Scharlene made the decision to live closer to her son and his family, relocating to Sherman, Texas. There, she found a new sense of joy and belonging within the community at Asher Point. She truly cherished the friendships she built and the many activities she took part in with her neighbors, always bringing her kind spirit, bright smile, and generous heart to those around her.

She is survived by her son Jarrett Rodrick and wife Stacey; grandchildren, Kellsey, Andrew, and Candice Rodrick; siblings, Jimmie Williamson and wife Jeanette, Verdie Jean Vandeker, Rex Williamson and wife Elisa, Mary Ann Williamson, and Lloyd Williamson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and by four generations of Jay's family who she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay D Rodrick; parents, Charles and Verdie Williamson; siblings, Alton Williamson, and Evelyn Williamson.

Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., October 17, 2025, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons 8808 Highway 87 North Orange, Texas 77631. Brother John Fortenberry will be officiating.
