Obituary

Sara Hext Worthington was born December 12, 1965, and passed away July 31, 2026, at the age of 60.

She was a woman who never met a stranger. Outgoing and full of life, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and a fresh cup of coffee. Her kitchen was a place of love, where she expressed her care for others through home-cooked meals that brought everyone together.

In her younger years, she loved to travel and make memories along the way. As a child, some of her favorite memories were squirrel hunting with her dad.

She was a loyal and loving friend who cherished the people in her life. Above all, she was a devoted grandmother. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was swimming together, FaceTiming to catch up, or simply being together. They were the center of her world, and the love she shared with them will forever be remembered.

She is survived by her father, Rev Jerry Hext; mother, Christa Hext; husband, Dennis Worthington; children, Jeffrey Hext and wife Lizzy, Sabrina Williams and husband Doug, Daniel Worthington and wife Heather, Lisa Perkins and husband Robert, Ashley Williams and boyfriend Lee, and Quinten Williams and wife Bridgette; 27 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Jerry Hex Jr. and wife Michelle, and Ginger Burcher and husband Lynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Red and Sara Hext, and Ludwyg and Paula Seban; grandchild, Esmond Blossom; and numerous aunts and uncles.
