Ruben Pena was born March 5, 1954, and passed away June 7, 2026, at the age of 72.

Ruben was a one-in-a-million man whose kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Friendly to all and always willing to help, he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

He found joy in the simple things, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. His laughter, warm heart, and ability to make others smile will be remembered always.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sister, Rosa Herrera and husband Luis; nieces and nephews, Luis Herrera, Jr. and wife Diane, Rebecca Anzaldua, Anna Herrera, and Lisa Nixon and husband Scott; great nieces and nephews, Rachel, Baylee, Alyssa, Skylar, Gabriel, and Jaxon; great great nieces and nephews, Roman Aaliyah and Matrix; best friend, James Blair; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Alicia Pena; and brothers, Felix Pena, Jr. and Louis Pena.
