Rose Davis was born April 8, 1943, and passed away May 21, 2026, at the age of 83.
She was a woman who loved God wholeheartedly and lived each day with grace, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her faith guided her steps and was reflected in the way she cared for others so selflessly.
She had a giving spirit and a heart that always made room for those in need. Whether through a comforting word, a warm meal, a thoughtful gesture, or simply being present, she made people feel loved and valued. Her kindness left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all who crossed her path.
She was also full of life and joy. Her laughter was contagious, her smile could brighten any room, and she had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable. She loved having fun, spending time with those she loved, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Above all else, her family meant everything to her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love knew no bounds. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every moment shared with her loved ones. Her family was her pride and greatest blessing.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Faul and husband Dwight, and Elvin "Grey" Davis and wife Elena; step-son, Richard "Ricky" Davis, Jr.; siblings, Mike Guzman and wife Lynn, and Leo Houdek; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Davis; second husband, John Calvert; son, Gene Davis; father, Martin Lopez; mother, Eulojia "Lou" Tijerina; sister, Linda Linscombe, Mary Escamilla, and Cookie Capelo; brother, Charles Lopez; and grandchild, Sunshine.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Dorman - Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Rev. Brad Bickham will be officiating.
