Oakdale- Roger Allen "Blue" Humphries was born on January 22, 1953, and passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 72.

Roger loved to read his bible, spiritual literature, and guideposts. His reading had become limited as he was losing his eyesight. He loved to fish and hunt but that also became limited because of his eyesight.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Humphries; children, Angela Humphries Lovas and Randy Humphries; grandson, Zane Lovas; siblings, Gene Humphries, Kenneth Humphries, Sr., Helen Humphries, and Gertrude Babineaux; a host of loving family and friends.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Evan & Daphne Humphries; siblings, Evan Humphries, Jr., Margaret Humphries, Donna Billings Hudson, Randy Humphries, Russell Humphries, and Vernon Humphries.

The family would like to give their thanks and appreciation to Misty and the entire staff at Harbor Hospice, Allen Oaks, and Oakdale Community Hospital for their help and kindness.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time for the memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Elwood Baptist Church, 213 Elwood Road, Forest Hill, Louisiana. Pastor Mike Evans will be officiating.
