Rita Fay Aden, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 67 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Born on September 17, 1958, in Kinder, Louisiana, Rita was the cherished daughter of Elbert James Simmons and Ethyl Faye Allen.

Rita was a warm-hearted individual who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her love of fishing, enjoying cookouts with family and friends, and for being a wonderful all-around person with a heart of gold.

She deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family, always putting them first in her life.

Rita is survived: by her children, Amy Carrier and Allen Aden; grandchildren, Jonathan Carrier and Joseph Carrier; siblings, JoAnn Guillory and husband Donald, James Allen Simmons and wife Julie, Kenny King and wife Polly; and many loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving devoted husband James Aden; her parents as well as siblings, including her twin sister Brenda Kay Simmons Miranda, Rodney Simmons, and Lovell King Martin.

Rita's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
