Oakdale - Retha Mae Rougeau born April 4th, 1933 to the Union of Crockett and Sentillie Cloud Willis in Elizabeth, Louisiana and entered eternal rest May 30th, 2026, with family by her side at the age of 93.

As a young woman Retha worked in Harpers Cafe where she met and served beef stew to her soon to be loving husband Peaches of 64 years. During those years Retha was a homemaker and her door was always open to family and friends alike. There was always a place and plate for everyone who entered.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharlene Evans of Oakdale, Louisiana, Charlotte Sue Rougeau Medlin and husband Warren of Marshall, Texas; her son, Clyde Rougeau and his wife Tina Halkowitz of Alexandria, Louisiana; grandchildren, Clay Evans, Matthew Evans and wife Sonya, Christi Rougeau, Andrew Rougeau and wife Candace, Andrea Rougeau, Amber Wolfe and husband Ryan, Dustin Bohannon and wife AuBrey, Elizabeth Sowell and husband Vito, Tyler LeJeune, Kollin Halkowitz and Delinda Halkowitz, Kenneth Halkowitz, as well as 24 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, Clive Herman "Peaches" Rougeau; her parents, Crockett & Sentillie Willis; brothers, Claude, Henry, Lee, J.C. and Millard Willis; sister, Helen Delaney.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the visitation continuing Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 from 10:00 a.m., to the time of service at 1:00 p.m., at Christ Church , 1013 E. Whatley Rd Oakdale, Louisiana. Pastor Greg Willis will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Oakdale, Louisiana.
