Priscilla Chandler was born October 24, 1931, and passed away July 28, 2026, at the age of 94.
Priscilla will be remembered as a loyal, funny, and talented woman whose kindness touched the lives of many. She was a mother of integrity, a true friend, and a classy lady who genuinely loved people.
Alongside her husband, Grady, she proudly owned and operated the Waverly House Restaurant for many years, where they welcomed countless guests with warmth and hospitality. After many years, she retired from the Post Office, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Priscilla's love for her family, her friends, and her community will never be forgotten. Her grace, strength, and joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Pool, Rev. Grady Chandler and wife Judy, and Dorinda Chandler Gonzalez; grandchildren, Wayne Pool Jr. and wife Crystal, Suzy Riley and husband Gary, Sandy Newman, Mendy Flowers and husband Rev. Chad, Amber Vargas, Amanda Chandler, Priscilla Savala and husband Wense, Emily Bracken and husband Kris, and Kelley Hubbell; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Donna Robbins; and son-in-law, Lesly Hubbell and brother-in-law, Rich Robbins.
She is preceded in death by her spouses, Grady Chandler and Elven Barnes; daughter, Linda Hubbell; parents, Fred and Viola Ordeheide; and brother, Fred Ordelheida; son-in-law, Wayne Pool.
Pallbearers will be Jack Riley, Grady Riley, Cotton Pool, Wense Savala IV, Brock Merino, and Diego Merino.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the wonderful care provided from the nurses and staff of First Choice Hospice in Huntsville, Texas.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 460 Fisher St., New Waverly, Texas. Dr. J.D. Andrews and Rev. Grady Chandler will be officiating. Interment to follow at Hill Cemetery, New Waverly, Texas.
The family would like everyone to wear bright colors to honor the bright person that Priscilla was.
