Obituary

Perry Turner was born February 12, 1949, and passed away November 30, 2025, at the age of 76.

A master carpenter for more than 50 years, Perry could shape wood with a kind of patience and skill that few ever achieve. Homes, barns, porches, and countless projects across the community carry his craftsmanship, leaving lasting reminders of his steady hands and honest work.

When he wasn't building, he could be found outdoors doing what he loved most: fishing at first light, hunting when the seasons turned, and tending a garden that amazed everyone who saw it. He could make anything grow, coaxing life from the soil with the same care he gave to the people around him. And if something broke, a truck, a tractor, or a tool, he was the one everyone trusted. Known as the best mechanic around, he fixed things the right way, never rushing, never boasting.

Above all, Perry was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He was a man of few words but endless heart, and he showed his love through the work of his hands and the time he shared with others.

He is survived by his sons, Jason Warren Turner and Cody James Turner; sisters, Cheryl Hamilton and Carol Williamson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Edward and Mabel Perry Turner; and brother, Roy Turner.

Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas.
