Michael "Gauge" Humphries, 19, of Kinder, Louisiana, passed away on July 16, 2026, in Kinder. Gauge was born on December 15th, 2006, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Michael Dewayne Humphries and Margaret Spears Humphries.

He enjoyed fishing, playing his PlayStation 5, cooking, and spending time with his family. Always working on his Mustang, he was also a 2025 Kinder Highschool graduate. Gauge will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him. His memory will remain close in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Michael Dewayne Humphries and Margaret Spears Humphries; his brother, Lucas Spears; and his grandmothers, Peggy Spears and Pamela Pettifield.

Gauge was preceded in death by his brother, Marcus Dewayne Humphries, and his grandfathers, John Spears and Billy Humphries.

Visitation will be held at the Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home - Kinder, Reed Chapel on Monday, July 20th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., then Tuesday, July 21st, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Green Oak Cemetery, Kinder, Louisiana.

Reception will be on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026, in the Smith Hall from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
