Michael "Tip-Toe" Harris was born May 12, 1958, and passed away August 28, 2025, at the age of 67.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Boykin, Tamika Magloire and husband Peter, and Lakiesha Shirley and husband Jordan; grandchildren C'Riyah, Joshua, Luis, Elijah, and Jaxon; one brother, and one sister. A devoted father, he took pride in providing for his family and instilled in his children the values of perseverance and grit. He never lost his ability to find humor and joy in the moment. His laughter, even in difficult times, reminded those around him of the importance of hope. Despite his limitations, he faced each day with courage and found ways to share smiles and laughter with others. His resilience became an inspiration to those who knew him best.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Harris; and son, Michael James Viertel, Jr.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Caney Creek Apostolic Tabernacle. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., August 30, 2025 at Caney Creek Apostolic Tabernacle. Pastor Josh Cathy will be officiating.
