Melanie Ann Trahan was born on January 21, 2025, and went to be with Jesus on July 26, 2026, at the age of 1 1/2 years.

Melanie had a smile that would light up the room when she walked in. Her favorite thing was Cocomelon and her second favorite thing was her sister. Melanie had a laugh so precious that it could heal a broken heart, without question, with it's beautiful sparkle. She loved to play, laugh and sit up. Melanie loved sitting on the porch in her chair with her mom. She will be missed by all who knew her until we meet her again.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her parents, Jonathan Trahan and Megan Hoffpauir; stepdad, Devin Badon; sister, Maddison Grace Trahan; aunts & uncles, Kayla Hoffpauir, Terry Hoffpauir, Belinda Sargent (Larry Jr.), Kimberly Sample, and Amber Trahan; a host of cousins, family, and friends.


She is preceded in passing by her grandparents, Eugene & Emma Trahan, Kelly & Terry Hoffpauir; aunts & uncles, Douglas & Jennifer Dupre and Gerald Courmier.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church , 128 Highway 109, Starks, Louisiana. Rev. Ron Butler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Annex, Starks, Louisiana.
