It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Mauricio Orlando Alvarado, a devoted husband, beloved father, and proud veteran, who entered eternal rest on June 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

Born on August 17, 1963, Mauricio lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and unwavering dedication to his family. He served honorably as a Corporal in the Artillery Division of the Salvadoran Army during the Salvadoran Civil War, a chapter of his life that reflected his courage and strength.

After relocating to the United States, Mauricio built a life rooted in hard work and commitment, working as a skilled carpenter and raising a beautiful family alongside his beloved wife, Iris Alvarado. He was a faithful member of Iglesia Christiana Emanuelle, where he found joy in worship and fellowship.

Mauricio is survived by his loving children: Nelson Hernandez and wife, Kenny; William Alvarado; Ronald Alvarado; Mauricio Alvarado and wife, Yesenia; Amanda Alvarado; Emmanuel Alvarado; Fernando Alvarado; Joanna Zul; and Lucia Bowilla. He also leaves behind his wife, Iris, as well as one brother and one sister, who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in passing by his granddaughter, Bethany Joy Alvarado.

He will be remembered for his humility, strength, and a heart that beat with love for his family. His dream was simple, yet profound:

"Mi sueño es que todos sean unidos."
("My dream is that all may be united.")

His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held 9:00 -11:00a.m., Monday, June 16, 2025, with 11:00 a.m., funeral service at The Pentecostal of The Woodlands, interment to follow at Conroe Memorial Park.
