Mary Anne Broussard, born June 15, 1941, in Richie, Louisiana, peacefully passed away at her residence in Basile, Louisiana, on December 4, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family.

The treasured daughter of Manalas Bergeron and Julia Matte, Mary Anne lived a life brimming with artistic expression and passion. She delighted in sketching and drawing, and her musical talent shone through her songwriting-penning two Cajun French songs and performing alongside her brothers in a family band. As a young girl, she was honored with an invitation to sing at the Louisiana Hayride. Her affection for literature was reflected in her enjoyment of reading, writing poetry, and ultimately authoring her own book.

Mary came in contact with Jehovah's Witnesses in 1967, and after studying the Bible with them was baptized 02-28-1967. She remained active in her teaching of the Bible's good news and with the Kinder congregation until her death.

Mary Anne's spirit continues to inspire all who knew her-through her art, her music, and her written words. She will always be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she so freely gave to everyone around her.

Mary Anne's legacy endures through her beloved husband, Kelly Joseph Broussard, Jr.; her children, Charles Nelson LeMeilleur, James Christian LeMeilleur, Sherry Lynn LeMeilleur, Lewellyn "Blue" McClean, Alan John Broussard-Fontenot, Steven Paul Broussard, and Troy Shane Broussard; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandson, and the many family members and friends who hold her memory dear.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sons, David Keith LeMeilleur and Richard Brent LeMeiller.

Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 315 N. 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana.
