Mark Allan LaRocque was born February 3, 1966, and passed away July 8, 2026, at the age of 60.

Mark passed away leaving behind family and friends who will remember him for his kind heart, quick sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He graduated from SOWELA in 1993 and was a talented musician with a passion for working on electric guitars. Mark also enjoyed spending time working on vehicles and could often be found fixing, tinkering, or creating something with his hands.

Known for his love of joking around, Mark had a way of making people smile and laugh. His kindness and generous spirit touched many lives.

One of Mark's greatest joys was his beloved cats, who were cherished companions throughout his life.

Mark will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His laughter, talents, and caring nature will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by the love of his life, Cher Harper LaRocque; siblings, Carol Martin, Belinda Brocker and husband Ed, Paul LaRocque, and James LaRocque and wife Sylvia; in-laws, Vicki Harper Marcantel and Travis Marcantel; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Derik Dunham and Megan Dunham.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul LaRocque and Barbara Palmer.

Family will be having a celebration of life at a later date.

Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
