Margretta Shirley Rougeou was born September 7, 1957, and passed away December 16, 2024, at the age of 67.

She is survived by her children, Sabrina Beaty and husband Billy, James Ramsdell, and Jacob Ramsdell and wife Ellan; grandchildren, Daphne Kleven, Jett Olney, Thomas Adams, Allimae Howard, Jacob Ramsdell Jr., John Ramsdell, Emma Ramsdell, Nicole Robe, William "Boogie" Beaty, Joshua Ramsdell, Joseph Ramsdell, Jeremiah Ramsdell, Eden Ramsdell, and Nariah Ramsdell; great grandchildren, Cayden Melton and Alivia Menard; siblings, Jolene Doyle, Katherine Bushnell, Syvella Jackson and husband Wayne, Clarence Shirley, and LaBreeska Hall and husband Randy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ivy Marie Shirley; father, Herman Shirley; and siblings, Loretta Yancey, Marsha Martin, and Larry Burnitt.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024, continuing from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Carlton Jackson Jr. will be officiating. Interment to follow at Dry Creek Cemetery, Dry Creek, Louisiana.
