Larry Guidry, born on December 14, 1941, in Oberlin, Louisiana, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the age of 84.

Larry was known for his love of the outdoors, whether he was tending to his yard, hunting, or simply enjoying time outside. Above all, he cherished moments spent with his family.

A proud graduate of Oberlin High School, Larry excelled in athletics and played all sports during his school years. His passions and warm spirit made a lasting impact on those around him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his children, Debra K. Guidry and Eric Larry Guidry and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Brian Ardoin, Tara Kay Prudhomme and husband Spenser, Kelly Bridget Parker and husband Matthew, Patricia Kaitlyn Guidry, and Matthew Eric Guidry; and great-grandchildren, Breanna, Camille, Dean, Mason, Drake, Chloe, and Noah. He is also survived by his siblings, Earlene Minnis, Barbara Jean Hill, Dennis Guidry, Richard Guidry, and Gary Guidry, along with a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Mark Kay McCauley Guidry; his parents, Hammie and Marice Guidry; granddaughter, Julianne Guidry; and siblings, Curtis Guidry, Hazel Guidry, Oris Guidry, Louise Darbonne, and Tommy Guidry.

Larry's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will be remembered by all who knew him.

Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 315 N. 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana 70648.
