Kathy D. Richardson, age 65, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in Vidor, Texas.& Funeral services honoring Kathy will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Kathy Diane Guillory was born to parents Betty "Sherry" (Carlson) Beard and Herbert Guillory on Monday, February 9, 1959, in Sulphur, Louisiana. Kathy had an ability to see beauty and life in everything no matter what phase of life it was at. She loved gardening and found out very quick she had the "green thumb". She loved anything to do with Native Americans, painting, collecting shells from the beach, camping at the lake and fast cars. But none would rise above the foundation of the life she created for herself. That is all she wanted surrounding her, is that pure unfiltered kind of love her family, her children and her grandchildren and nature could give her.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Betty "Sherry" (Carlson) Beard; sister, Melissa Guillory; grandparents, Amos and Etta Hebert as well as "Nanny" Natalie Hazel Norris and other extended family and dear friends.

Those left to cherish Kathy's memory are her children; son, Josh Richardson and wife Lauren, daughter, Candace (Richardson) Ellis and husband Jacob; father, Herbert Guillory; sister, Natalie Guillory; brothers, Justin Guillory and Clint Guillory; nephews, Derrick Payne and Adam Martin; nieces, Tiffany (Martin) Wild and Amy (Martin) Vaughn; her pride and joy grandbabies, Bryden Richardson, Kelton Richardson, Draven Ellis, and Atreus Ellis; in addition to gaining bonus step-children Garrett and Jake Gearhart.

Pallbearers honoring Kathy will be Derrick Payne, Dylan Payne, Dystan Payne, Justin Guillory, Clint Guillory and Adam Martin. Honorary Pallbearers are Lindon Leishman, Mike Alston and Paul Richardson.
