Jolene Burnitt Doyle was born on November 19, 1952, and passed away on, October 29, 2026, at the age of 73.
Jolene loved her family more than anything, and the people who knew her will remember how cheerful and funny she was. She could find something to laugh about on almost any day, and she stayed strong through the hard ones. Her friends could always count on her for a good meal out and good company to go with it.
She was creative and very crafty, and she was rarely without a sewing project or a crochet hook. The things she made were given with love, and many of them will be treasured for years. In her kitchen, Jolene was known for her beans and rice with cathead biscuits, a meal her family and friends won't forget.
Jolene was a faithful member of Oretta Pentecostal Church, and her faith was a steady part of her life. Jolene's warmth, laughter, and handmade love will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina Trahan and husband James, Brandie Noblitt and partner Andrew, and Kendra Manuel and husband Jerry Jr; grandchildren, Dana Woods, Hanah Stewart, Kenneth Trahan, Gary Doyle, Ethan Noblitt, Katelyn Noblitt, William Noblitt, Michael Byrd, Lauren Byrd, Christian Ewing, and Orion Manuel; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, LaBreeska Hall and husband Randy, Syvella Ann Jackson and husband Wayne, and Katherine Bushnell; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in passing by her first husband, Kenneth Doyle and her second husband, Mark Gillis; son, Ricky Doyle; parents, Vester Burnitt and Ivy Marie Shirley; siblings, Loretta Yancey, Marsha Martin, Larry Burnitt, Margretta Rougeou, and Clarence Silas Shirley.
Family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Oretta Pentecostal Church, Oretta, Louisiana. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at Oretta Pentecostal Church, Oretta Louisiana. Pastor Dustyn Rose will be officiating.
