Jimmie Neal
Williamson
Jan 16, 1950 — Apr 22, 2026
Jimmie Neal Williamson was born January 16, 1950, and passed away April 22, 2026, at the age of 76.
He served honorably in the United States Army, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service as a First Sergeant. During his military career, he completed tours in Vietnam and Korea and was stationed at Fort Polk throughout much of his time in the service.
He carried the values of duty and perseverance with him long after his military years, and his service remained a source of quiet pride that helped shape the strength of character that defined him.
He was deeply devoted to his beloved wife, Jeanette, who remained at the center of his heart always. Their bond was unwavering, a partnership built on love, respect, and shared memories that he cherished every day.
He had a keen interest in politics and rarely missed a chance to stay informed, often tuning in to CNN to follow current events and engage with the world around him. He also found great joy in classic Western films, appreciating their storytelling, grit, and timeless sense of right and wrong.
Family was the center of his world. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and extended loved ones, offering guidance, humor, and a steady presence they could always rely on. His love for them was constant and deeply felt.
He is survived by his children, Amanda Hallman and husband Jimmy, and Jennifer Reeves and husband Jason; grandchildren, Shaun Hallman and Baylor Hallman; siblings, Rex Williamson and wife Elisa, Verdie Jean Vandekar, Mary Crow, and Lloyd Williamson; sister-in-law, Annie Bates; brother-in-law, Louis Hutson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette Williamson; siblings, Alton Williamson, Elaine Williamson, and Scharlene Rodrick; and parents, Charlie and Verdie Williamson.
Family will receive friends from 11: 00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Dorman - Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Rev. Michael Procella will be officiating. Interment to follow at King Cemetery, Hartburg, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a local veterans organization.
