Jill DeAnn Jay was born July 26, 1975, and passed away September 1, 2025, at the age of 50.

Jill's greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether it was cheering them on from the sidelines, sharing laughs during sleepovers, or simply listening with an open heart, her love for them knew no bounds.
She was known for her quick wit, kind spirit, and deep appreciation for the little comforts in life. Few things brought her more happiness than curling up with a good Netflix show, a cold Dr Pepper in hand, and a quiet evening at home. That is, unless she was out on a mission to HomeGoods, where she could always find "just one more thing" to bring a little extra joy and beauty into her space. She had a knack for making everyone feel special, seen, and loved. Her laughter filled the room, her hugs brought comfort, and her presence made everything feel a little more like home.

She was survived by her children, Skyler Scott, wife Karen Chambles, Slayde Jay, Baylee Smith, husband Cody Gilbert; grandchildren, Rosalie Rutherford, Luke Rutherford, Bryson Dryden, Sawyer Abrams, and Braxton Gilbert; father, Gregory Jay; and brother, Cory Jay, wife Sharon.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Chambers; and grandparents, Anita Jay, and Clois Jay.

Celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on September 13, 2025, 4553 Gilbert Rd Orange, Texas 77632.
