Jessie James Maddox passed away on February 5, 2026, in Gueydan, Louisiana.
Jessie was born on September 8, 2006 in Beaumont, TX. Jessie was a devoted husband, loving father, and a deeply good-hearted person. He had a true love for his family and carried a gentle, caring spirit that touched everyone who knew him. Jessie was also a songwriter, using music to express his heart, his experiences, and his love for life and those closest to him.
Jessie will be remembered for his loving nature, his loyalty to his family, his creative soul, and the kindness he showed to others. His memory will live on through the love he gave and the music he left behind.
He is survived by his wife, Zoe Maddox; his children, Violet Dawn Maddox and Rose Mary Maddox; parents, Jessie Lynn Maddox and Mary Caswell; siblings, Zachary Maddox, Michael Maddox, Grady Bland, Pamela Maddox, and Elizabeth Maddox; in-laws, Shelly Lege and Mathew Rhineburger; and grandparents, Tracey Caswell and Susan Caswell.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Maddox, Mamie Maddox and Pamela Caswell.
Family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Dorman - Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Rev. Roger Pharris will be officiating. Interment to follow at Del Rose Cemetery,635 Alamo, Vidor, Texas.
