Jennifer Marie Lachapelle was born on April 8, 1971, and passed away on April 13, 2025, at 54 years of age.

Jennifer was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a lifelong caretaker and babysitter to many. Jennifer was famous for her fried chicken, soup, meatloaf, and spaghetti. She loved sparkly diamond jewelry and listening to Pieces of my Heart by Keith Frank. Jennifer loved her children, granddaughter, and her cousins. She will be missed by all those that she loved and who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Courtney Joubert & companion, Daivion White and Kenneth Joubert II & companion, Tiesha Weston; granddaughter, Kali Holloway; father, Clarence Lachapelle; siblings, Merilyn Simmons & husband, Darrell Sr. and Bridget Lavergne & husband, Jerome "Frog"; godchildren, McKenzie Simmons and Darrell Simmons II; nieces & nephews, McKenzie, Lenzie, Jasmine, Jordan, and Darrell II; Nicholas Jackson who she loved like a grandson and Anthony Lavan, her caretaker, who was like a brother to her; the father of her children, Kenneth Joubert, Sr.

She is preceded in passing by her mother, Leontine Bushnell Lachapelle; niece, Lacey Simmons.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., a rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1100 St. Mary Street, Elton, Louisiana. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Kinder, Louisiana. A repass will be held in the Smith Hall at Riley Smith & Sons.
