Obituary

Jeffery Newton Sharp was born on December 9, 1964, in Cooper, Texas, to Doris Braden and Harold Sharp. Though Jeff faced challenges earlier in life, he spent his later years building a life he was proud of — working hard as a truck driver and reconnecting with family and friends who meant the world to him.

His story is one of redemption. On August 20, 2023, Jeff was baptized among his church family at Cowboy Church on the Rock — a community whose love and support carried him through the burdens of his cancer journey.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery Sharp Jr., who remained by his side until the very end; his sisters, Sonja Waites and Darlene Pannell; his sidekick and only grandchild, Anthony Mosqueda; and several nieces and nephews. He is also fondly remembered by Gayle Reichle, with whom he shared two children and a lasting friendship.

Jeff leaves behind his loyal four-legged best friend, Diamond, who never left his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Sharp; sisters Betty Sue, Patsy, and Bobbie Joe; and his true caretaker and constant presence, Nanny.
