James "Jimmy" Booksh was born May 2, 1970, and passed away May 12, 2025, at the age of 55.

Announcing the passing of James "Jimmy" Booksh, lifelong resident of Louisiana.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sunset of Jimmy Booksh. Jimmy passed away on 5/12/25 at the young age of 55, due to medical complications.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica Holden Booksh and his daughter Morgan Elise Booksh. He is survived by his mother Judy Cobb, stepfather Ervin Cobb, stepmother Debbie Booksh (Eric), sisters Kristen Erin Booksh (Brandon), Ashley Booksh Dunkelberger (Chris), brother Jason Cobb, stepbrother Michael Fletcher, special best friend Natalie Flynn and a number of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Charles Booksh Jr., brother Joseph Charles Booksh lll, stepsister Alicia Fletcher, May Trahan Heins, and nephew Ethan Booksh.

Jimmy will be missed by many, with his clever wit, repeated love for telling stories, love for fishing & beer, and joyful sense of humor. There will be a private viewing for immediate family only and a celebration of life at a later date and time.

Dear God, we lift up Jimmy in prayer as he begins his journey into eternal rest. Please bring him into your loving arms and grant him peace and rest.

Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 517 Broad St., Lake Charles, Louisiana.
