Hiram "Mike" Richardson was born January 1, 1954, and passed away October 8, 2025, at the age of 71.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army for 6 years. He was a stubborn soul in the best way, strong-willed, determined, and always standing up for what he believed in. But above all, he was giving, caring, and would do anything for anyone. Mike loved woodworking and tinkering. He also loved to cook for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selfless generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Richardson; children, Brian Richardson and Michelle Rodriguez and husband John; grandchildren, Rian Richardson, Ayden Richardson, Seth Sims, Audrey Sims, Isabelle Rodriguez, and Julian Rodriguez; siblings, Jane Fountain, Steve Richardson, and Kathy Guevera; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Nellie Richardson; and brother, Tommy Richardson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 13, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
