Glenn Earl Thomas was born March 18, 1952, and passed away August 21, 2026, at the age of 74.

His strength, knowledge, independence, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Glenn Thomas was a man who lived life with purpose, strength, and a deep love for his family. He proudly served for 13 years as a Captain with the Texas State University of San Marcos, dedicating himself to protecting and serving his community.

After retiring from law enforcement, Glenn began a new chapter alongside his wife as a team driver, traveling and sharing life's adventures together. He was also an herbalist, an avid outdoorsman, and a man who knew how to live off the land. Fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature were among the things that brought him the greatest joy.

Glenn had a gift for fixing things, whether it was a broken object, a problem that needed solving, or simply lending a helping hand. He was the kind of man people could count on.

Above all, Glenn loved his family. His strength, knowledge, independence, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived and the people he served, but for the love he gave, the wisdom he shared, and the many ways he made life better for those around him.

Glenn was a protector, provider, outdoorsman, fixer, husband, and beloved family man. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who have had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia Thomas; children, Erin Sigefried and husband James and Jeremiah Thomas and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Greysen Kuykendall and wife Alyssa, Garett Kuykendall and wife Kimberly, Emma Griffith, Shaye Thomas, Alexandria Casares and husband Cal and Taylor Thomas; great grandchild, Rori Kuykendall.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Velta Thomas.

Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
