Glen "Sharkey" Parker, Jr. was born August 4, 1961, and passed away July 21, 2026, at the age of 64.

Glen will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He worked in the oilfield for 30 years with Reliable Production Services, where he was known for his dedication and commitment.

When he was able, Glen enjoyed spending time fishing, finding peace and happiness outdoors. He also found great joy in caring for others, never hesitating to lend a helping hand, whether to a loved one or even a stranger.

Above all, Glen loved his family more than anything. They were the center of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Parker; daughter, Brittany Parker; 8 stepchildren; numerous step grandchildren; siblings, Maria "Pebbles" Parker, Elijah "Bubba" Parker and wife Lou, Cathy Fontenot and husband John, Larry Parker, and Linda Fitzgerald; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Nettie Parker; sister, Nelda "Cricket" Duncan; and niece, Amanda Duncan.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, a continuing from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Bro. Mike Streams will be officiating.
