Georgia Anne Evans beloved wife and mother, passed peacefully in her home on July 26, 2025. Born November 6, 1958, in Houston, TX, she was raised in the Heights and attended Reagan High.
She began her career at Bank of the Southwest which underwent many mergers becoming Bank One and eventually Chase before her retirement. Her career focused on call center logistics supporting technology and communication.
Georgia is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael; and her precious only child Nicholas. She also leaves behind a sister, Sarah Bafford; and brother, Bruce Johnson and wife Dianna. Georgia also is survived by 4 nephews and 4 nieces, their spouses, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Georgia is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Johnson; and sister Karen Schweiger.
Georgia was the cornerstone of her family and social circle. Georgia is remembered by her husband as being his "everything." Her son Nicholas recalls her being outgoing and fiercely loving. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her family and was proud to call them hers. Georgia had a gift for loving others deeply. Many of her friendships were decades in the making. She had several friends that she counted as chosen family because she simply adored them. She loved music, laughter, and fellowship. She will forever be missed, her memory cherished.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Fielder Cemetery, Lufkin, Texas. The memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Bethel Tabernacle, Houston, Texas.
