Fay Leona Speakman Thompson was born February 25, 1938, and passed away December 19, 2025.

Fay was a devoted Christian and was a firm believer in reading her Bible. She enjoyed fishing and cooking for her loved ones. She loved being with her family, spending all the time with them that she could. She was a caregiver to all and always put other people's needs above her own.

She is survived by her children, Darrell Maze and wife Debbie, and Leslie Huval and husband Darryl; daughter-in-law, Krystal Castleberry; son-in-law, James Castleberry; grandchildren, Dustin Boudreaux, Joshua Lenard and wife Nicole Lenard, Brittany Provost and husband Adam Provost, Gerald Lenard and wife, Jannatul Lenard , Leona Boudreaux, Christiana Castleberry, Jameson Castleberry, Bruno Craig, Victoria Craig, Atlas Castleberry, Jerome Bruce, Samantha Bruce, Amber Trahan, and Cody Trahan; 10 great grandchildren; niece, Jayme Castleberry; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Castleberry; parents, Hilton Speakman and Ruby Crumby Speakman; and 4 brothers.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2925, and continuing from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Pastor Darrell Huval will be officiating. Interment to follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
