Etta Marie Fontenot was born September 1, 1960, and passed away January 25, 2026, at the age of 65.

Etta will be remembered for a life marked by compassion, perseverance, and love. She proudly achieved a lifelong goal by graduating from nursing school at the age of 55, a testament to her determination and desire to care for others.

Family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She was known for helping everyone she could, always offering kindness, support, and a warm heart to anyone in need. Her selflessness and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Donald Olson and wife Nancy, Webster Perkins, and Pauline Jordan and husband David Jordan, Sr.; grandchildren, Briteny Olson, Destine Olson, Miranda Olson, David Jordan, Jr., and Paityn Jordan; great grandchildren, Alyssa Wittman, Grayson Jordan; siblings, Willie Fisher, Yvette Best, and Robbie Best.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Scott; father, Robert Strokos; and brother, Frank Strokos.

Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
