Emma Jean Stovall entered eternal rest on February 16, 2026, surrounded by love.
Jean's life was defined by devotion to her family, her friends, and her church family. A woman of steadfast faith, she served faithfully wherever God placed her, whether in the local church, at the Lufkin Campgrounds alongside her husband, in her workplace, or quietly behind the scenes. Her strength, kindness, and steady presence shaped generations.
She made a lasting impact on her nieces and nephews, which she loved so much. She invested in their lives with encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support. Anyone who spent much time around Jean felt her influence. She had a way of steadying others, offering reassurance, wisdom, and love that left a permanent imprint on their hearts.
She is survived by her son, Dave Stovall and his wife, Pam Stovall; her grandson, Logan Stovall; brother, James and Elaine Coots; brother, Norman and Kathy Coots; sister, Brenda and Steve Blanks; brother, Lamar and Karla Coots; also, Jim and Glenda Cessna and Marvin and Rita Stovall; along with many extended family members, cherished church family, and dear friends who were deeply impacted by her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Stovall; her father, John Curtis Coots; her mother, Annie Ruth Coots; her beloved sister, Martha Herndon; and a uncle/ "brother," Lesley Cooper.
Jean will be remembered for her faithfulness, her servant's heart, and her unwavering love for those entrusted to her care. Her life was quiet in recognition, but powerful in influence and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Abundant Life Church, 12165 TX-75, Willis, Texas. A prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Abundant Life Church, Willis, Texas. Interment to follow at Smith Memorial Park, 10129 FM 1097 Rd W, Willis, Texas.
