Edward "Eddie" Bell, 63, of Basile, Louisiana, passed away on July 29, 2026. Eddie was born on August 28, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii, but lived in his early years in Jacksonville, North Carolina and the rest of his adult life in and around Basile, Louisiana.

Eddie is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Bertrand (Shannon) of Kinder, Louisiana and Amanda Woods (Donnie) of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters from both his adopted and biological relations.

Eddie is preceded in death by his loving parents, Edward Bell Jr. and Martha Kekoa; and by a cherished grandson, Devin Maricle.

Eddie lived a hard life ravaged by mental illness and medical hardships. He often relied on the kindness of others to get by.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made towards the final services to honor Eddie's memory.

Visitation will be held in the Magnolia Chapel - Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 315 N. 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Brother Randy Myers will be officiating.
