Douglas "Douggie" Dupre was born September 17, 1978, and passed away April 25, 2025, at the age of 46.

Douggie enjoyed fishing, hot rod cars, and spending time with two boxers, Tracker and Luna. Douglas loved hosting family BBQs, often boiling crawfish or smoking meat on his front porch. His quick wit and jokes brought joy to everyone, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those left to honor his memory are his children, Travis Pettypool and Lilly Trahan; mother, Connie Pettypool; sisters, April Wheeler (Justin), and Pamela Muth (Timothy); grandmother, Bernice Dupre; sisters-in-law, Belinda Sargent (Larry), Kimberly Sample (Ken), and Amber Trahan; and brother-in-law, Jonathan Trahan; nieces and nephews, Amaya Dupre, Christian Payne, Nelson Thibodeaux, Jakk Greer, Ava Greer, Elizabeth Goings (Dylan), Ryan Courmier, Brittany Watkins, Michael Watkins, Charles Watkins, Makenna Sample, Zoey Sample, Madison Trahan, Melanie Trahan; great nieces, Emmalee Dean, Addilyn Lancaster, Aaliyah Watkins, and Bryleigh Bellon; great nephews, Ethan Deville, Elliott Goings, Elston Goings, Nicholas Watkins, Rayden Watkins, Andrew Dean, Michael Watkins Jr., Braxton Watkins, Jayme Mier, and Layton Bellon.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years, Jennifer Trahan Dupre; grandfather, Tanja Dupre; and in-laws, Eugene and Emma Trahan; and brother-in-law, Gerald Courmier.

Pallbearers will be Travis Pettypool, Michael "Aaron" Watkins, Ryan Courmier, Haden Greer, Christian Payne, Nicholas "Trey" Watkins, Nelson Thibodeaux, and Dylan Goings.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, and continuing from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, First Baptist Church, Starks, Louisiana. Pastor Ron Butler will be officiating. Interment to follow at Miller Annex, Starks, Louisiana.
