Dorothy Nalley, 91, known to many as Uldean, was born August 1, 1935, in Charleston, West Virginia, and passed away October 1, 2026, in Webster, Texas.

Dorothy was a spunky, strong, and brilliant woman who brought her own special light to everyone around her. She loved life, loved people, and never met a challenge she couldn't take on.

Dorothy enjoyed playing Scrabble, Words With Friends, spending time on Facebook, and most of all, cooking. Her love of cooking was one of the many ways she showed love to the people around her.

She was a devoted member of Apostolic Temple of Pasadena, Texas, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Dorothy was also exceptionally talented. In the 1980s, she competed in the World Championship of Typing and proudly won 3rd place in the nation, a remarkable accomplishment that reflected her intelligence, determination, and skill.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Nalley Jr., Tamara Walker (Gary), James Nalley (Teresa), and Melody McClain; grandchildren, Rev. Thomas McClain (Casey), Caitlin Elder (Jeffrey), MaKenna Morey (Zachary), Derick Nalley (Brooke), Sharla Lade (Jarred), Taylor Nalley, and Errol Jones (Myra); and numerous great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Nalley; parents, Carlos and Nona Brown; son-in-law, Rev. Orlin McClain; and brothers, Eugene Brown and Buster brown.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Apostolic Temple, 2630 Allen Genoa Road, Pasadena, Texas, 77502. Pastor Thomas McClain will be officiating. Graveside will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2026, at Grandview Memorial Cemetery, Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas.

Pallbearers are Zachary Morey, Thomas McClain, Jacob Hickman, Chris Edwards, Derick Nalley, and Errol Jones.
