Dolores Ann
Lapoint Jackson
Sep 27, 1947 — Sep 5, 2025
Dolores Ann LaPoint Jackson, 77, of Spring, Texas, went to be with her Lord on September 5, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas, on September 27, 1947, Dolores was the beloved daughter of Cliford M LaPoint of Orange Texas and Audrey Ann (Landry) LaPoint of Livonia, LA. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Houston through eighth grade and graduated from Jef Davis High School class of 1966.
Dolores married James Douglas (Doug) Jackson, and together they raised three daughters in Houston. Becoming a mother was the role she cherished most, a joy that only deepened when she became "Memaw" and "Nana" to her five grandchildren.
Dolores lived a life marked by love, family, and friends. She found joy in simple, everyday moments- cooking in her kitchen, sharing stories at the table, and proudly bragging about her grandchildren. Her famous mashed potatoes became a holiday request, and her presence at every birthday and holiday created cherished traditions. Christmas Eve was always unforgettable in her home, where no presents could be opened until every dish was washed-a tradition that brought laughter and lasting memories.
Her work reflected her devotion to family. After attending business school and beginning her career in data entry, she later chose to work in a school cafeteria so she could be near her daughters while they were young. She eventually returned to ofice work until retirement. Dolores shared an especially close bond with her mother, Audrey, and together they created a lifetime of memories through raising the girls, family gatherings, trips to Louisiana, and countless hours in the kitchen.
Gentle, kind, and filled with love, Dolores never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She taught her family the meaning of patience, joy, and unconditional love. Her legacy will live on in every family meal, every holiday tradition, and every story shared.
She is survived by daughters Rhonda Krezinski, and husband Jason, and Tammy Morrow, husband Gregory, and Shelley Wethington; grandchildren, Cody Krezinski, Mason Krezinski, Brannan Morrow, Hannah Morrow, and Joshua Wethington; and brother Gary LaPoint and wife Ann.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Douglas "Doug" Jackson, and her parents Cliford and Audrey LaPoint.
The family would like to thank Dolores' neighbors of 46+ years; Mike and Linda Paulk and Robert and Carolyn Armstrong for keeping a watchful eye and checking in on her; especially after Doug's' passing.
Dolores will be deeply missed but her love and devotion will continue to guide her family for generations to come.
Family will receive friends from 9 a.m., until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday September 11, 2025, at Saint James The Apostle Catholic Church, 22800 Aldine Westfield Road Spring, Texas 77373. Deacon Ray Oden will be officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Cemetery, 13407 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039.
