Clifford August born July 30, 1953, passed away February 14, 2026, in Oberlin, Louisiana, at the age of 72.

He delighted in fishing, traveling, and eating out at restaurants with those he loved. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, he brought laughter and happiness wherever he went.

He cherished time spent with his family, was a devoted member of Holiness unto the Lord Church, and found great joy in listening to Zydeco music. His faith and love for others shone brightly in all aspects of his life. Though he is gone, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Celestine Comeaux and her husband Raymond, and Paul Jones and his wife Beverly, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stella August, his parents, Paul and Edna Mae August, his siblings Beverly Thomas, Mary Thomas, Ernest August, Clifton August, and brother-in-law Jeffery Thomas. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before him.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Oberlin, Louisiana. A repast will be held in the Smith Hall from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
