Clara Bell Doiron was born September 16, 1937, and passed away March 22, 2026, at the age of 88.
Clara Doiron, lovingly known as "Granny", was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by deep faith, unconditional love, and a generous spirit that touched everyone she met.
Clara was the ninth of fifteen children in a large and loving family. She carried the values of family, resilience, and compassion with her throughout her life, always putting others before herself.
Clara was an amazing cook who expressed her love through every meal she prepared, especially her gumbo, bringing family and friends together around her table.
A devoted follower and lover of Jesus Christ, Clara's faith was the foundation of her life. She lived selflessly, always offering kindness, encouragement, and support to those in need. Her gentle strength, servant's heart, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Clara is survived by her children, Rhonda Jones and husband James, Margie Coleman and husband Kim, and Kimberly Statum and husband Larry; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Givens; grandchildren, Ghina and Myron Crocker, David Burch, Tag and Jaqueline Burch, Jake and Mary Givens, Chad and Stephanie Givens, Hannah Johnson, Zechariah Jones, Andrea and Jared Clark, Micah Aaron and Caron Coleman, Adam and Lauren Coleman, Scott Statum, Tasha Jones, and Scott Jones; 38 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; brother, Prentis Smith and wife Mary Ann; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse David Doiron; her son, Alvis Bingy Givens; and her daughter, Joana Burch; grandson, Glyn Burch; parents, Richard and Eva Smith; 13 siblings.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Visitation will continue Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at First Pentecostal Church, Starks, Louisiana. Pastor Karl Smith will be officiating. Interment to follow at Doyle Cemetery, Starks, Louisiana.
