Jul 24, 1974 — Aug 21, 2026
Sulphur, Louisiana
Charles "Chris" Kinney was born July 24, 1974, and passed away August 21, 2026, at the age of 52.
He had a way of making people feel welcome, and he was known for giving the best hugs.
Chris will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He spent 10 years working at the PBX front desk and the IT Department at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, where he made lasting friendships and touched many lives.
Chris had a love for life and a personality that made him unforgettable. He was a collector of exotic animals, loved to fish and play video games, and was a huge collector of guns and knives. His beard was his pride and joy, and he was always happy to show it off.
Chris never met a stranger. He had a way of making people feel welcome, and he was known for giving the best hugs. More than anything, Chris loved his friends and family. They were truly the most important part of his life.
Chris leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, stories, and love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sheila Kinney; daughter, Morgan Kinney; father, Charles Kinney; brother, Tim Kinney and wife Rachael; nephews, Jacob Kinney and Zach Kinney; nieces, Lauren Kinney, Aiden Dial, Max McGee, and Rhys McGee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willard and Diana McGee; along with numerous aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Kinney; and grandparents, Emmett and Sadie Kinney, and Mary and LeeWood Castille.
