Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Carrie Lee Tunwar Terrell born on January 29, 1946, and peacefully passed on April 6, 2026, she lived a life full of love, hard work, and dedication. She graduated from Carver High School in 1964 and went on to build a strong work ethic throughout her years, working at the paper mill in Elizabeth, Garen Sewing Factory, Oakdale Dress, Datrex, and later serving as a substitute teacher for the Allen Parish School Board. She found joy in the simple things baking, sewing, working word puzzles, and spending every moment she could with her family. Her hands were always busy, and her heart was always full of love for her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Vickie Tunwar Patton, and son-in-law, Jeffery Patton Sr.; granddaughter, LaToya Tunwar; grandsons, Zachary Tunwar (Kodie) and Jeffery Patton Jr. (Kianna); four great-daughters, Mollie, Samyri, Elianna and Rayleigh; and one great-grandson, Jeffery Patton III. Her brothers, Waddell, Raymond (Maudrey), Marvin "Wanky" (Enella), Paul, Mike (Bobby), Allen (Cynthia), Edward "Burn" (Caroline), Terry (Lydia), and Rodney (Tiffany) Tunwar; godchild, Christopher Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in passing by her father, Willie Tunwar; her mother, Mollie Ann Tunwar; sisters, Sandra Edwards and Constance "Nita" Malbrough.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to her primary care physician, Dr. Alex Courville. Dr. R.
